This video shows two ways to calculate the inductance of a ferrite EI inductor. By using a ferrite core instead of iron core this problem can be overcome. The air core inductor and iron core inductors have a low inductance value, limited frequency operation and more losses. Click on the ‘Calculate’ button and the calculator will give you the theoretical number of turns of wire.
